Innocence of the Children

My Journey Home

Ink-stained fingers, a poet’s resolve,
Crafting dreams with words that revolve
“Life favours the courageous” he scribes with might.
Sparking flames in hearts, igniting the night.

A boy of ink, dreams woven in rhyme,
Yearning for tales beyond place and time.
From poet to soldier, his journey unfurls,
Courage his compass, amid the worlds whirls.

Through battles fought and victories won,
His quest for adventure is far from done.
Now in search of love, a heart beating true.
Guided by verses, old and new.

Home he seeks, in a lovers embrace,
A sanctuary of peace, a sacred place.
The boy poet, now a man of lore,
His journey, a story, rich to explore.

With pen in hand, he etches his fate,
A symphony of life, both early and late.
For in daring to dream, and daring to roam.
The boy poet found love, and made a brave home.

Reflections of Love

In the domain of gracious souls,
A tribute to the strength we hold,
A gift innate to our humanity,
To extend kindness whenever we can.
So, I contemplate this truth…
Can we not make kindness our choice?
Love manifests in kindness—it reverberates!
Spreading this heartfelt message!
A trait so warm and inviting,
Overflowing with generosity and care,
Cultivating uplifting interactions,
From conversations to connections,
Sowing the roots of lasting ties,
And harmony resonating across our world.

Beautiful Day

By LongJohn

Such beauty two friends sit
Side by side, with best plumage coats
Many colours reflections of a rainbows
Bright sun light cooled only by a light summer breeze
What a beautiful day, I think

The lens opens the moment captured.
Forever contained in this picture of beauty
What a beautiful day, I remember.
My friends we were beautiful, young strong,
many a girl we loved.

Those days have gone now,
I remember our smiles our laughter.
My beautiful friends gone to the stars,
We still talk, just before sleep.
I awake to another beautiful day.
Given to me by my beautiful friends.

Their lives sacrificed to give me and you.
A beautiful day every day.
Until I and you rise to the stars

Enjoy your beautiful days while you can.

The Bittersweet Ride of Friendship

By Paul Baldry

In the eerie silence where shadows loom,
You are the lightning, and I the thunder’s boom,
An unlikely pairing, a clash at first glance,
Bound by fate, we tread this peculiar dance.

Through whispers unspoken and wary eyes,
We wade the waters, though the current defies,
A bittersweet ride of friendship, fragile and true,
Where fears dissolve, and trust breaks through.

With hesitant steps, we chart unknown shores,
Every fear a challenge, every laugh restores,
A stormy voyage of hearts once confined,
In this strange journey, our spirits aligned.

Nobody Listened

She cried for help,
But no one heard her plea.
“What did I do so wrong?”
She whispered to the void,
But still, nobody listened.
“Why am I in such pain?”
A pain not marked by scars,
Invisible, yet unbearable.
“Why me? Why me?”
She wept,
Seeking answers in the silence.
“What did I do so wrong?”
But the silence only grew louder.
“You were my friends,” she thought,
But they had gone,
Deserting her in her despair.
“Am I truly such a burden?”
She sobbed,
“What did I do so wrong?”
But no one replied,
No answers came.
Now she hides,
Shrouded in shame,
Alone with the weight
Of unanswered cries.

Reflections on Life

The Fruit of Wisdom

“Exercising the mind and body takes effort and dedication, but the rewards of improved health, mental clarity, and personal growth are universal.”

“A simple act of giving polite recognition to a stranger can brighten their day and create a ripple effect of kindness and positivity in the world.”
